Quest Presents ‘Murder at Fat Stan’s’

A Roaring Good Time: Quest Soul Theatre's 1920s Halloween Murder Mystery Party

As the crisp autumn leaves rustled and the moon cast an eerie glow on the streets, Quest Soul Theatre transported its guests to a time of glamour, intrigue, and mystery. On a chilly October night, ‘Scabface’ met his untimely demise at Fat Stan’s 1920s speakeasy, and it was up to the guests to uncover the secrets of the past. The night was filled with fabulous cocktails, stunning costumes, and a sense of community that made it truly unforgettable. Not only did we solve the murder mystery, but we also raised £450 for our Community Project coming up in April. Let's delve into the details of this unforgettable evening.

Setting the Scene: A 1920s Speakeasy

Wickham Theatre Centre was transformed into a speakeasy straight out of the 1920s. The dimly lit room was adorned with Art Deco decorations, candlelit tables, and the vintage tunes that set the perfect ambiance. Guests were transported back in time, feeling like they had stepped into a scene from The Great Gatsby.

The Murder of Scabface

The night's main event was, of course, the murder of Scabface. The story unraveled as the evening progressed, with each guest assigned a role to play. Clues and secrets were shared, alibis were questioned, and suspicions ran high. As the plot thickened, the mystery deepened, and everyone was determined to uncover the identity of the killer.

The Culprit: Al

After an intense investigation that involved interrogations, secret meetings, and hidden motives, we finally discovered the culprit behind Scabface's murder. It was none other than Al, a character played by Tony Berry ( who had no idea he was the murderer, but was having a wonderful time! ). The shock and amazement on everyone's faces were a testament to the skilful storytelling and engagment that everyone showed.

Cocktail Magic

No 1920s speakeasy would be complete without the perfect cocktails. We were fortunate to have a skilled mixologist Reece on hand, whipping up an array of fabulous drinks that transported us to the Prohibition era. From classic Old Fashioneds to smooth Bee’s Knees, each sip was a journey back in time.

Stunning Costumes

One of the highlights of the evening was the incredible effort put into costumes. Everyone came dressed to impress, channeling their inner flappers, gangsters, and dapper gents. The creativity and attention to detail were truly astounding and added an extra layer of authenticity to the event.

Community Spirit: Raising £450 for a Good Cause

Quest Soul Theatre is more than just an entertainment company; it's a part of the community. We were proud to announce that, beyond the fun and excitement, this event had a deeper purpose. By participating in our Halloween murder mystery party, guests contributed to our Community Project, scheduled for April. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, we were able to raise an impressive £450, which will go a long way in supporting our local community.
