FAQs

  • Quest offers inclusive and gentle workshops that will help you improve stagecraft and build confidence. With a focus on ‘wellbeing’ we offer ‘performance without pressure’

  • Our workshops are aimed at those who are 18+ but we are open to anyone joining. We are disability inclusive, LGBTQA+ friendly and everyone else in between. At Quest, we do our best to facilitate the needs of the individual.

  • Quest has three main objectives.

    • To improve stagecraft

    • To build community

    • To support wellbeing

We us e a wide range of theatrical skills and techniques to help you whether you want to become a professional actor or just get better at interpersonal skills. We employ improv, script work, movement, voice, directing and so much more to help you on your journey.

  • Absolutely not! Anyone is welcome, regardless of experience

  • The workshops are led by one of our fully trained Quest Facilitators. All our employees are DBS checked and are trained in adult safeguarding.

  • Quest is mainly workshop based BUT we do have many links with local amateur groups should you want to get involved, and we also have guidance on how to become a professional actor should you want it. Throughout the year Quest does organise charity events or ‘one-off’ performances you can get involved with, if you wish.

  • Wear something comfortable, but also just come as you are.

  • Our weekly workshops have no limit on participants and are ‘pay what you can’. We suggest £5. You can pay us either through prebooking on the website, or by cash or card on the day. No need to book, just turn up.

For our monthly workshops, which are slightly different because of the space and the content are £15.50. This need to be PREBOOKED through our website.

  • A c.i.c stands for ‘community interest company’. We are somewhere in between a charity and a business. Quest is able to make a profit BUT we have to prove to the government every year that everything we do is for the benefit of the local community. Community is at the heart of everything Quest does, bringing people together and helping to support them. We charge very little for our classes, so we rely on donations and fundraising to keep us financially afloat. We are always looking for support, so, if you would like to know more…please use the contact page and we would be happy to tell you more about it.

  • First of all, get in contact with us and ask all the questions you want.

    There are no silly questions.

We also offer a free 1-1 before a class, to meet the facilitator and see the space. This can help ease you into the class. You can chose to stay, or leave, its up to you, no judgement.

If you want to stay , but are still anxious, please just stay and watch. Just being in class is a huge achievement and we would love to welcome you.
